Hello there!
I’m Emily Hamm, owner of Moon Pigeon. As a graphic designer I specialize in helping clients develop their brands, products, and ideas. Whether it’s a logo or a necktie, I think strategically and deliver quality work.
My design roots started with many years at a big retail in-house design department where I designed everything from fabric, packaging, logos and advertising. In 2016 I went out on my own ready for something new. Out of that Moon Pigeon was formed.
What’s behind the name Moon Pigeon you might ask? You know that child-like-wonder when you think about the vastness of outer-space and the possibilities of all that could be? Moon Pigeon is meant to evoke that sense of wonderment. The term “moon pigeon” was originally used by NASA as a way to call out unidentified flying objects. It’s a nod to my love for the mysterious and unknown; and it speaks to the way I challenge myself to innovate and create out-of-the-box designs and goods. The name also serves as a reminder that good design and art push the viewer and takes them to places outside their comfort zone.
